Looking through the templates, I realized that they are not so easy to choose—one has an immediately high balance, another has too many transactions per day, and the third has a strange date format. All this can be alarming if not adjusted to the specific situation. Some focus on the appearance, and some on the structure of payments. What do you look at first when choosing a template?

I was making a statement for submission to the embassy, and my task was clear: show a moderate but stable account movement with a decent balance. I looked through many templates until I found the right one on this site: https://bankstatementgenerator.org/product-category/usa-banks/. I was impressed that you could choose the bank I needed—in my case, Citi—and set the desired period. The design turned out to be just like the real one, with the usual formatting and even the correct small signatures under the columns. I added a few regular receipts—payroll, rent, and a few purchases—to make everything look natural. Visually, there is no difference at all.

In my opinion, it is important to adjust the template to the way you actually use the account. If you usually keep a minimum balance, you should not use a template with large amounts. I also make sure that the dates are consecutive and there are no unnecessary repetitions in transactions - it immediately catches the eye. It is better to have fewer lines, but everything should be logical and “on topic”.
