This is shocking - They actually sold us a used front-wheel-drive Lincoln MKZ when we ordered and PAID FOR an all-wheel-drive version; this on a car they ordered in from another dealer because they didn't have any AWD vehicles on their lot. Only with the first snowfall here in the East Mountains did we discover the deception when we couldn't make it into our neighborhood. Oh, they talked a great game about making things right with us, fully knowing that it was an old sales manager who perpatrated the fraud, but in the end had no interest in actually working out anything beyond trying to sell us another new car and totally let us hold the bag for what they had done. Working with Eddie Corley and his nephew Marcus left us feeling as if we deserved nothing in return for their deception, even though the dealership had fully profited from the original transaction. When I finally put my whole story in writing, they changed their tune pointing to the "odometer statement" that clearly had "FWD" on the vehicle description. So because I didn't catch 3 letters on the odometer statement that were contrary to everything we'd been led to believe up to that point; the entire reason we were having a car transferred from another dealer, the entire reason we were buying a car in the first place, that they can claim they did no wrong. Not in the court of public opinion! We will take this up with the BBB, then the DA and see where that leads; but for now I would caution anyone who wishes to deal with an honest business to stay clear of Corley's. They've only proven to us so far that they are dishonest and unethical in the treatment of their customers; even after they fully admitted to our situation being the fault of their former sales manager. My wife and I both own our own businesses and fully understand treating customers right, and taking the hit when an employee does something wrong; a lesson I'd hope one day gets learned by Corley's. Their manager may have been the cause of our shortcoming, but the final deception went all the way to the TOP.
