RUN AWAY FROM PLACE
|
Dr. Rose appeared to only be concerned about how much money he could make off of me and my insurance company. The office’s staff all appeared to well-trained on the same philosophy. While speaking with the doctor he told me what he wanted to do with some issues I was having with my teeth, his nurse technician started populating a list of treatments and procedures into their CRM/customer system. I noticed that on 5 of the procedures the technician selected the insurance codes pertaining to the recommended procedures they wanted to do on me only to change the price associated with that insurance code. Those procedures cost around $948 each; however, she then changed the price jumped it to $1342. Pretty strange that for an office so technically advanced that they would have the correct prices linked to the right insurance codes. I am an IT executive for a large hospital system and I can tell you that if our codes did not correctly reflect a proper cost to them we would be in violation of several compliance regulations and out of business. Well, my teeth cleaning experience turned into a quote for $7400+ bucks! Priceless! This would be a great Visa commercial.
One major thing before I cut this off: READ THE FINE PRINT OF THE QUOTE!!! I read it while sitting with the Office Manager while she explained line items in the quote. She tried to have me sign the quote as is, as she said, “sign here as this states that you received a copy of the quote.” If you read the fine print it says that I you are agreeing to the treatments being recommended and your willingness to proceed with them. It’s basically a contract to start treatment. Don’t sign it!!! Matter of fact; don’t go unless you and your insurance company have money to burn!
