Confused with this company

My security was out, my phones were out, my home was being worked on. My daughter in law scheduled an appt. which they did not keep. I called, and she called, but they said we had cancelled the appt. They were very argumentative with both of us. Then finally I was told I had never had an appt. I finally took the controls out of my wall, because I couldn't stand the constant beeping anymore. Still they drafted on my account. My daughter in law called them again today, and they were still argumentative; saying I had called and cancelled. Now this has been going on for at least a month. We no longer know what to do with a company which gives no service to a Senior Citizen with a Heart Condition, who really needs a security system. What is our recourse? They told me I have to buy out of the contract. Now . . . I will go to the local courthouse and I will file a Small Claim Suite for $100.00, but they (being a business) will have to hire an attorney before they can go into a Small Claim Court, and I think I will finally get SOME service.
