In my experience, when a company gives you a "quote", you should always plan for extra expenses. Vanlines quoted me a price of $2505 to move from NC to NY 2 weeks ago, and gave me a binding quote. To my surprise, all the extra funds I was expecting to hear about never happened! My estimate was only about $75 more, because I opted for them to professionally wrap my 3 plasma t.v.'s. I have to say, I read the reviews just a short time ago, after I moved, and didn't have any problems like some other reviewers had. I was sure to double-check the inventory list I gave them, and updated it before the move, which may be why I had no issues. Anyway, I'd recommend this company in the future, as I already have to my neighbor. I'm happy with the overall service, and delivery time. Other than the driver's cell phone dying on the way to me, and not being able to communicate with him until he arrived, everything was perfect. Even when that happened, I called their office, and they contacted him by 2-way radio, and gave me info as to where they were, and when they'd be there. I can't say I'm not completely satisfied. I am. I hope I never move again, but if I must, I'll be calling them again. The lady who assisted with the quote was Numa, and the dispatch supervisor is Bryan.
